Therapeutic Ultrasound

Therapeutic Ultrasound

Not to be confused with diagnostic ultrasound (used for generating images), therapeutic ultrasound uses a frequency of ultrasound that is primarily absorbed by connective tissues (such as ligaments, tendons and fascia).

Therapeutic ultrasound is used to increase healing rates by promoting blood flow, as well as reducing inflammation. It serves as an excellent method of reducing pain while treating ongoing soft tissue injuries of the foot & ankle.
