Dry needling is the practice of placing acupuncture needles in or around an area of soft tissue discomfort to encourage healing and pain relief.
Dry needling, while using acupuncture needles, does differ from traditional Chinese acupuncture. Despite this, there has been shown to be a high level of overlap between traditional Chinese acupuncture and dry needling, with needle placement locations between the two techniques correlating higher than 70%.
Dry needling has been used with great success at Prahran Foot Clinic in reducing a wide variety of foot & ankle pain.
